INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSUMERS
ISS Research®, LLC announced today that it is initiating a precautionary, voluntary recall of the identified lots of OhYeah!® bars in response to the widened recall involving ALL peanut products produced by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA)’s Blakely facility since 2007. The previous recall issued by the FDA focused on peanut butter and peanut paste from Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), which did not affect OhYeah!® bars. Although independent laboratory testing has indicated no Salmonella contamination to date in any of the OhYeah!® bars, including the lot #s listed below, we are taking this step as a precautionary measure to ensure the utmost safety of our products.
Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis. For more information regarding Salmonella, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Website at www.cdc.gov.

Though at this time we have confidence in the quality control of our product, it is only prudent that we notify our consumers of this expanded recall from PCA, and request the products be destroyed.
HOW TO HANDLE THE RECALLED PRODUCT
1. Identify the “Best By” date located on the long seal of the bar wrapper. If the “Best By” date is from March 11, 2008 through March 27, 2010, do not consume this bar and proceed to the next step. In the example below, BEST BY 03 21 2010 is March 21, 2010.
2. You may discard the entire product or proceed to the next step to request a replacement.
3. If you would like to request a replacement:
a. Remove the “Best By” date located on the long seal of the bar wrapper without opening the package. See image below. This will serve as your “Proof of Purchase”.

b. Download the Consumer Replacement Request Form, fill out completely and send to:
ISS Research
